Travel through Jewish history in Asia and Mediterranean with an internationally-published art and travel writer and lecturer Irene Shaland. Join her for a fascinating two-part talk about her search for little-known fascinating stories about Jewish people in six countries on two continents.

In Part I: Journey through Asia exploring little-known events in the history of Chinese Jews, and Jews in India, Myanmar (Burma), and Cambodia.

In Part II: Travel to the beautiful Mediterranean islands of Malta and Corsica whose Jewish history manifests a fascinating trajectory still under-the-radar for most travelers and historians. Seeking Jewish narrative all over the world, Irene and her husband-photographer Alex have visited over 70 countries and shared their experiences with audiences and readers in the US, Canada, Israel, and Europe.
